Women Who Code Atlanta Millennium TechGirls

womentechtalkladies

My beautiful ladies Adrianna and Kamilah they grow and learn so fast anyway I talked to 2 amazing strong young women Millennials about how it is being in the age of millennials in tech and the challenges they face in it. Also why they love WWCode and how they continue to try to find that job in tech after graduating from college.

Women of Ull Conf 2017

Came up with this idea while at the UllConf 2017 called Women of Ull 2017. Where I meet women from all over the world with amazing stories I asked them questions first how they got into tech and the second they had to choose.

This is my favorite tech conference by far and it in Ireland (YES!! for real). It all about people in tech telling there story and it was amazing. With all the love that was put into it was just so beautiful.

Women Tech Talk - Test Driving a Tesla with my Granddaughter

My granddaughter called me one day and said to me that she don't call me enough and just wanted to talk to me and I was like OK sweetie (grandma loves her grandbabies) even though I was busy I just let her talk but something she said made me stop working when she start explaining to me about seeing a Tesla and how she had done her research about the car and that when I said to her do you want to test drive a Tesla and that when the adventure begins.

And how I got to be in the Apple newBeginning Video -- Part 2 of 2

A year passed and now it April 2016. I get an email from Alisha from The Mercadantes at Park Pictures asking do I have time to talk. Now when I got the email I was like…..

I don’t know, I don’t know….

So I was about to email her back but instead, I call her, we talked and we just hit it off…she was this beautiful young lady with this amazing personality.  She then asked me did I have time to tell my story and I was like YES!!! I do.

So right around this time, Women Who Code was planning a hackathon for women (Atlanta). While meeting with Women Who Code ladies (CEO Alania, Global Director Joey, Erica, Beth and myself) I told them what happened and Alaina told me it was Apple......silence. They had me to contact her so they could ask questions about me.

How I got to go to WWDC2015 -- Part 1 of 2

In 2015 I receive an email from Erica director of the Women Who Code Atlanta. She had asked if I was interested in going to WWDC15 on a scholarship and I said sure, Hell Yeah!!!. So I email Erica and Alaina (CEO of Women Who Code) and let them know that I was very interested in going to the WWDC15. After sending Apple everything they asked for about my app and that I had a iOS study group for women with Women who code. I was told by Alaina that there were only a few slots available I believe about 4 slots and 6 ladies had applied. So I was like no matter thanks for the opportunity, all they could do is say no to me and that was fine.

Why I started Coffee, Women and Tech blog

The reason that I started the blog is because for several years people that I have met told me too many time to start a blog and I was like, I can’t write, I hate writing, I’m not good with grammar or spelling or anything to do with this writing thing.

At one of my jobs I even got written up almost fired just because of this grammar, spelling, writing thing so when I tried to explain why I don't write I would think that folks would totally understand where I was coming from.
